Project Scientist - III (Adaptive Optics)

You will be responsible for developing theoretical models for implementing optics in quantum diamond microscopy and investigating strategies for achieving super-resolution imaging in widefield NV-based magnetometry. Additionally, you will collaborate with Prof. Saikat Guha (UMD) to refine theoretical frameworks and define experimental requirements. Your role will involve working on computational techniques such as wavefront correction and optical phase manipulation to improve imaging resolution. You will also be expected to propose and design experimental protocols based on theoretical insights for future implementation and coordinate with the experimental team to come up with an implementation plan. - Develop theoretical models for implementing optics in quantum diamond microscopy. - Investigate strategies for achieving super-resolution imaging in widefield NV-based magnetometry. - Collaborate with Prof. Saikat Guha (UMD) to refine theoretical frameworks and define experimental requirements. - Work on computational techniques, including wavefront correction and optical phase manipulation, to improve imaging resolution. - Propose and design experimental protocols based on theoretical insights for future implementation. - Coordinate with the experimental team to come up with an implementation plan. - Doctoral degree in Science or Engineering. - Minimum of 3 years of R&D experience in academic institutions, industry, or scientific organizations. Please note that knowledge of widefield magnetometry and adaptive optics is desirable for this role.,
