Project Engineer Lead New Product Development

As a Project Engineer/Lead specializing in New Product Development, you will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading product process quality at suppliers, including conducting periodic audits and evaluations. You will play a key role in coordinating overall processes in alignment with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and customer requirements. Your primary tasks will involve the development and implementation of quality plans, work instructions, and inspection methods as per customer specifications. To excel in this role, you should possess solid knowledge of Aluminum Die Casting and precision Machined Parts. Your background in the automobile industry is essential, with a proven track record of successfully managing North American or European customers. Additionally, you must demonstrate strong analytical skills and be familiar with quality standards such as IATF and ISO. Experience in handling Process audits, APQP projects, and customer audits is crucial. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with supplier-facing processes like Audits and PPAP, as well as maintaining product quality in collaboration with engineering and sourcing teams. You will be expected to guide suppliers in the flawless execution of qualification for new products, develop action plans based on audit findings, and foster positive relationships with key stakeholders. As a part of the team, you will contribute to the timely reporting of Supplier Quality status, participate in supplier quality activities planning, and share knowledge with colleagues. Your proficiency in GD&T inspection methods, statistical problem-solving, and Project Management will be valuable assets in achieving the best-in-class product and process performance.
