Production Manager - Men's Wear

As an Apparel Production Manager, your role will involve overseeing the production process to ensure it is cost-effective and timely, while maintaining high-quality standards. You will be responsible for drawing up production schedules, estimating costs, and setting quality standards. Additionally, you will monitor production processes, adjust schedules as needed, and ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed. Your duties will also include liaising with different departments, suppliers, and managers to implement company policies and goals. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the production process - Ensure cost-effective production - Draw up production schedules - Ensure timely production of high-quality products - Work out human and material resources needed - Draft a timescale for the job - Estimate costs and set quality standards - Monitor production processes and adjust schedules - Select and maintain equipment - Implement quality-control programs - Liaise among different departments - Work with managers to implement company policies and goals - Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed - Supervise and motivate a team of workers - Review the performance of subordinates - Identify training needs Desired skills for an apparel production manager include: - Knowledge of fabrics and different garment wash processes - Proficiency in sewing and production management - Understanding of fit and garment construction - Familiarity with PDM (Product Data Management) - Experience in sourcing and product construction - Ability to develop raw materials - Knowledge of production cycle timelines - Experience in manufacturing non-apparel/bottom wear This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule that requires working in person.
