Production Manager Mechanical

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Control

   • Develop and implement production schedules based on sales orders and demand forecasts.

   • Allocate resources, manpower, and machinery to meet production goals.

   • Monitor daily production and ensure minimal downtime.

2. Operations Management

   • Supervise day-to-day manufacturing activities in the shop floor.

   • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

   • Maintain optimum inventory levels for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

3. Quality Assurance

   • Coordinate with the Quality Control team to maintain product quality standards.

   • Implement corrective actions to resolve defects and prevent recurrence.

   • Drive adherence to ISO/TS/AS quality management systems.

4. Cost & Efficiency Control

   • Monitor production costs and implement cost-reduction initiatives.

   • Improve productivity through lean manufacturing and process optimization.

5. People Management

   • Lead and mentor production supervisors, engineers, and shop-floor staff.

   • Conduct performance reviews and ensure training & development for team members.

   • Enforce workplace safety and discipline.

6. Maintenance Coordination

   • Liaise with the maintenance team to ensure timely servicing and repair of machinery.

   • Minimize breakdowns and machine downtime through preventive maintenance plans.

7. Reporting & Documentation

   • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management.

   • Maintain records related to production, quality, and maintenance.
