Production Manager, E&I

As a Production Engineer at FLSmidth Cement's Arakkonam plant, your role is pivotal in maintaining product quality and ensuring timely production. You will have the opportunity to work in an international environment with diverse challenges and cultures. **Key Responsibilities:** - Running the Plant Production efficiently for E&I and Automation, taking complete responsibility for People, Production, and Product Quality. - Reviewing design drawings and bill of materials periodically to highlight deviations and changes in machine assembly. - Coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery. - Maintaining accurate project records and updated drawings throughout the project lifecycle. - Diagnosing and resolving electrical issues to minimize downtime. - Identifying opportunities for process improvements through automation and system upgrades. - Training team members on electrical systems and automation best practices. - Maintaining detailed documentation of electrical systems, control programs, and maintenance activities. - Preparing regular reports on production performance and system reliability for Management. - Promoting a culture of safety among the production team. **Key Accountabilities:** - Adhering to production schedules and coordinating with material requirements. - Providing input on the optimal condition of equipment needed for the production process. - Directing corrections and working with the Quality Manager on corrective and preventive actions. - Promoting a culture of personal and team safety. **Qualifications Required:** - Strong knowledge of electrical systems and industrial automation technologies. - Familiarity with Siemens, Beckhoff, AB PLC. - Understanding of regulatory requirements for operating factories. - Proficiency in root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues. - Experience with Microsoft Office applications and computer technology. - Knowledge of UL Listed, CE Marking on Industrial Panel, and other relevant engineering standards. **Education Qualification:** - Bachelors degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. **Experience:** - 15-20 years in a production or manufacturing role, preferably in the cement machinery or heavy equipment industry.
