Production Assistant

Role Overview: As a Production Assistant, your role will involve assisting in the smooth and efficient operation of press and machine shop activities. You will support production processes, ensure material availability, and maintain quality standards to contribute to the overall production output. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in setting up and preparing machines and presses for daily operations. - Load and unload raw materials, tools, and components to/from machines. - Support operators in maintaining continuous production flow. - Follow daily production schedules and meet output targets. - Inspect parts visually or using measuring tools to ensure they meet required specifications. - Report defects or deviations to supervisors immediately. - Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from obstructions. - Assist in routine preventive maintenance activities. - Monitor machine performance and inform the maintenance team of any issues. - Move finished goods to storage or next process stage. - Maintain proper handling of tools, dies, and jigs to avoid damage. - Keep track of raw material usage and stock levels. - Follow all safety guidelines and use PPE. - Adhere to shop floor safety protocols and company policies. - Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately. - Maintain production records such as output, downtime, and scrap. - Assist in preparing shift handover notes. - Support supervisors in compiling daily production reports. Qualification Required: - B.E Mechanical - 1-3 years of experience - Basic knowledge of press shop and machine shop processes. - Ability to read engineering drawings. - Familiarity with basic measuring instruments. - Teamwork and communication skills. - System Knowledge, AutoCAD software Knowledge.
