Product Manager - Data Platforms

As a seasoned Product Manager at Wayfair, you will accelerate the development of the technology stack, specifically focusing on our Data Ingestion systems. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders in engineering, product, and data science to identify pain points, business KPIs, and technical gaps. By translating business needs into a strategic roadmap, you will drive the development of solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and supplier engagement. **Key Responsibilities:** - Be the subject matter expert and owner of Data Ingestion technologies, managing real-time and batch data processing - Prioritize feature requests based on business value, impact, risks, and development costs - Lead end-to-end delivery of platform enhancements and support - Develop and communicate a product vision and roadmap to stakeholders - Market the product internally to ensure user awareness and adoption - Translate product strategy into engineering initiatives and stories - Stay updated on technology trends and influence product decisions accordingly - Regularly update stakeholders on goals and progress **Qualifications Required:** - 6+ years of overall experience with at least 3 years in product management, preferably in data platforms - Strong understanding of data technologies including Airflow, Kafka, BigQuery, Spark, and data visualization tools like Looker - Experience in defining data operations standards and utilizing SQL for data analysis - Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences - Ability to architect high-level system plans and drive customer-centric product development - Proficiency in working with multiple stakeholder groups and managing large initiatives simultaneously - Experience collaborating with engineering teams and overseeing sprint activities - Familiarity with Google Cloud and its data services Please note that the company's core platforms are driven by advanced data and machine learning systems, emphasizing the importance of leveraging data effectively across various business applications.,
