Product Engineer (Low Voltage Drives)

Role Overview: In this role at ABB, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB's success with technology, software, product, and system development. You will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems, showcase your expertise by providing ideas, and work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team. Your role will involve technical product ownership on products with respect to quality and issue resolution in Low Voltage Drives in India. Key Responsibilities: - Full technical ownership of the product including understanding the variable frequency drive, coordinating with the product manager for known issues, analyzing failures, creating detailed failure reports, and conducting PCB analysis using the schematic and PCB. - Understanding VFD functions, customer applications, reasons for failure/trip on the site, studying components for failure reasons, detailed component analysis in-house and with external labs, creating root cause analysis of failures, and discussing with global counterparts for better understanding. Qualifications Required: - Qualification: BE in Electrical and Electronics or EEE, M-Tech in Power Electronics or Control System or Drives. - Skill Set: PCB analysis, Variable Frequency Drive Knowledge. - Years of Experience: 5-10 years for BE, 3-5 years with M-Tech.
