Product Development Manager (Headphones)

As a Product Development Manager for Headphones, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire product development process, from planning and design to manufacturing and quality assurance. Your role will involve working closely with designers, engineers, and vendors to ensure the successful launch of high-quality headphone products. Here is a breakdown of your key responsibilities: - **Product Planning:** - Define and manage the product roadmap for different headphone types. - Lead the product from idea to final launch. - **Design & Engineering:** - Collaborate with designers to create comfortable and ergonomic designs. - Coordinate with engineers to incorporate features like ANC, Bluetooth, and high-res audio. - Ensure durable and user-friendly mechanical design. - **Sound & Performance:** - Select and test drivers based on sound goals. - Fine-tune acoustics and refine sound quality. - Conduct tests for performance, noise cancellation, and battery life. - **Prototyping & Testing:** - Oversee sample creation and mock-ups. - Manage various product tests including drop, wear, moisture, and sound. - **Manufacturing & Supply Chain:** - Work with vendors and factories to ensure smooth production. - Prepare Bill of Materials (BOMs) and technical documents. - Ensure consistency in parts and build quality. - **Quality & Compliance:** - Conduct safety and durability tests. - Ensure products meet BIS, WPC, and other local standards. - Implement quality checks during production. - **Team & Project Management:** - Lead and mentor a team of engineers. - Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables effectively. - Provide progress updates and address any issues to the leadership. In addition to your core responsibilities, you may also be required to have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Acoustical Engineering (or similar) and possess 5+ years of hands-on experience leading headphone or in-ear audio product development in consumer electronics industry. Please note that this is a full-time position located in E-City, Hyderabad, Telangana. The salary range for this role is between 12LPA to 15LPA. If you have a total work experience of 10 years, with at least 8 years as a Product Development Manager and 5 years working with electronic products, you are preferred for this role.,
