Product Application Engineer- Hardware (Board Design and Testing)

As a HW Product Application Engineer at AMD, you will play a crucial role in enabling customers to utilize AMD embedded CPUs effectively. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support, delivering trainings, reviewing design files, debugging issues, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful deployment of AMD technology. You will need to analyze customer scenarios, communicate effectively, and possess strong analytical skills to address tough problems. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with customers to facilitate the deployment of AMD Embedded CPUs platforms - Conduct technical trainings for customers on AMD-based platforms - Review customer designs at block-level, schematic, and layout levels - Engage in technical discussions, address issues, and optimize performance - Lead in issue resolution on HW and platform aspects reported by customers - Participate in customer calls, triage, and debug customer-reported issues - Develop customer communications and technical collateral materials - Collaborate across teams including platform and silicon engineering, product management, and field application engineering Preferred Experience: - 9+ years of experience in working with customers from system concept to production - Strong knowledge in x86 processors, DDR5/6, CXL, PCIe, SATA, USB, multiprocessor systems, power management, and system management - Hands-on experience in lab works, HW issue debugging, motherboard design, and high-speed IO board design - Additional experience in power delivery design and CPU performance tuning is a plus - Demonstrated teamwork, passion, urgency, and drive ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: - Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or electronics engineering Join us at AMD and be part of a culture that values innovation, excellence, collaboration, and diversity.
