Principal Enterprise Software Engineer

As a Principal Enterprise Software Engineer at our organization, you will play a pivotal role in leading technical initiatives and shaping the architectural landscape of our engineering organization. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Designing and implementing distributed, multi-tenant systems that operate at scale with a focus on reliability, security, and performance. - Driving architectural decisions and promoting best practices throughout the organization. - Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure modularity and isolation in platform development. - Mentoring and influencing engineers to uphold technical excellence and system integrity. To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications: Required: - Possess 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing and developing large-scale business applications in production environments. - Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies, including query optimization, indexing strategies, sharding, and replication patterns. - Showcase extensive experience with ORM frameworks, message broker architectures, and API design principles. - Exhibit mastery of distributed systems concepts, security best practices, and performance optimization at scale. - Have a proven track record of designing cloud-agnostic architectures and creating modular, loosely-coupled systems. Preferred: - Show active contributions to open-source projects, experience with container orchestration platforms, and proficiency in polyglot architectures. - Demonstrate a track record of migrating legacy monolithic applications to modern distributed architectures and familiarity with observability platforms.
