Principal Engineer - Linux & Infrastructure

As a talented and motivated Principal Engineer at Arcesium, you will join the Infrastructure Development team to work on internal projects, support Engineering Managers, and contribute to critical initiatives that align with Arcesium's strategic goals and growth. **Key Responsibilities:** - Help build the next generation of IT infrastructure including containers infrastructure using Docker & Kubernetes cluster create, manage, and upgrade - Create, consult on, and review architectural decisions of infrastructure projects/products - Build and maintain critical IT infrastructure such as Linux, Windows, Git, DNS, Kerberos, Syslog, Apache, Perl, Python, E-mail, Ansible, ELK - Safeguard the firm's and customers" data - Minimize the risk of system failures and ensure proper controls are in place to detect failures - Collaborate with tech teams to ensure infrastructure scales dynamically based on usage pattern - Develop messaging to senior stakeholders and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and Application Engineering teams - Communicate with all stakeholders, prepare project plans, release notes, and conduct regular governance meetings **Qualifications Required:** - 10-20 years of experience in system administration/software engineering - Strong programming experience in Python/C/Go/Haskell - Good knowledge of Unix system, web technologies, AWS, and Kubernetes - Experience with tools and processes for managing, understanding, and debugging large, complex distributed systems - Attention to detail, quality, and the ability to work effectively in teams - Self-motivated with the ability to think independently and collaborate as a team player - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - Ability to multitask, manage multiple deliverables, and maintain a can-do attitude This role at Arcesium offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the next generation of IT infrastructure and work on critical initiatives that support the firm's strategic goals and growth.,
