Principal Associate- Fullstack Engineering

As a Principal Associate, Full Stack Engineer at Capital One, you will be part of the Machine Learning Experience (MLX) team focusing on observability and model governance automation for cutting-edge generative AI use cases. Your role will involve building solutions to collect metadata, metrics, and insights from the large-scale genAI platform. You will work on developing intelligent solutions to gain deep insights into the platform's performance and compliance with industry standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the design and implementation of observability tools and dashboards to provide actionable insights into platform performance and health. - Utilize Generative AI models to enhance observability capabilities, including anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and troubleshooting copilot. - Develop well-managed core APIs and SDKs for observability of LLMs and proprietary Gen-AI Foundation Models. - Collaborate with model and platform teams to ingest metadata and runtime metrics for building an observability platform and ensuring ethical use and compliance with industry standards. - Partner with product and design teams to integrate advanced observability tools tailored to Gen-AI. - Work in a cross-functional Agile team to understand requirements and translate them into scalable solutions. - Conduct Proof of Concept to showcase capabilities of large language models in observability and governance. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum 4 years of experience in designing and building data-intensive solutions with a deep understanding of microservices architecture. - Minimum 4 years of programming experience with Python, Go, or Java. - Proficiency in observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, with a focus on adapting them for Gen AI systems. - Hands-on experience with Generative AI models and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
