Pre-Sales - Business Development Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a fresher with a Biotech or Pharmaceutical background to join our Pre-Sales and Business Development team. This is an excellent opportunity to launch your career in the CDMO/PD sector, working alongside experienced professionals to identify and develop business opportunities whilst building your expertise in drug development and laboratory services.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support pre-sales and business development initiatives within the CDMO/PD sector, assisting in identifying and qualifying business opportunities
• Engage with Research Scientists and key stakeholders in academia and the private pharmaceutical industry to understand their requirements and contribute to developing tailored solutions
• Collaborate across organisational levels to support decision-making and advance business objectives
• Assist in managing financial aspects of pre-sales activities, including budgeting support and ROI analysis for business development initiatives
• Support the building and maintenance of strategic relationships with prospective clients in the CRO, CDMO, and pharmaceutical industries
• Conduct market analysis and competitive assessments to identify emerging opportunities within the Life Sciences sector
• Contribute to the preparation and presentation of business proposals and presentations to senior stakeholders and potential clients
• Support the development of go-to-market strategies for new services and offerings in drug development and laboratory services

Required Competencies

• Recent graduate or fresher with a background in Biotech, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related Life Sciences discipline
• Foundational understanding of drug development, testing, and laboratory service delivery
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across organisational levels
• Enthusiasm and motivation to develop business acumen and drive growth in the Life Sciences sector
• Willingness to learn and develop expertise in CDMO/PD business initiatives
