Role Summary: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Surveyor with a strong background in Finishing Works to join our site engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for conducting precise site surveys and ensuring high-quality execution and alignment of finishing works, including plastering, tiling, painting, flooring, and interior fit-outs. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of our real estate projects. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and control the cost aspects of projects, from initial planning to completion. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing effective cost management strategies to optimize profitability. Key Responsibilities: ● Perform detailed site surveys using Total Station, GPS, Auto Level, and other surveying tools. ● Set out and verify levels, alignments, and layout for finishing activities (tiling, partitions, ceilings, joinery, etc.). ● Ensure that all finishing activities adhere to approved drawings, tolerances, and quality standards. ● Monitor and control horizontal and vertical levels during the finishing phase. ● Coordinate with project engineers, architects, and interior teams to ensure smooth execution of works. ● Prepare as-built drawings and maintain accurate survey records. ● Inspect work areas for precision, alignment, and compliance with design intent. ● Assist in resolving discrepancies between actual site conditions and drawings. ● Work Breakdown Structure (WBS): Develop and manage detailed WBS for construction projects, ensuring accurate cost estimation and project planning. ● Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for various project components, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors. ● Cost Control: Implement effective cost control measures to monitor and manage project expenses throughout the construction phase. ● Contract Administration: Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure favorable terms and conditions. ● Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential cost risks associated with construction projects. ● Reporting: Prepare regular cost reports for management, highlighting project performance, variances, and recommendations. ● Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of quantity surveyors and cost engineers. Qualifications and Skills: ● Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. ● Minimum 5 years of experience in hands-on site surveying and civil finishing experience with a strong focus on work breakdown structures. ● Proficiency in cost estimation , AutoCAD, MS Excel, and survey software. ● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ● Strong understanding of architectural and interior finishing details. ● Ability to interpret civil and architectural drawings. ● Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills. ● Knowledge of construction safety protocols and QA/QC practices. ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ● Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. ● Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
