Power BI Senior Developer

Responsibilities

Job Requirements

• Design, build, and deploy BI solutions (e.g., reporting tools) for clinical, operational, and financial analytics.
• Develop interactive and scalable data visualizations for executives, clinical, and operational stakeholders.
• Optimize DAX expressions, Power Query, and data models for high-performance reporting.
• Ensure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Row-Level Security for data governance.
• Integrate Power BI with SQL databases, cloud data lakes (AWS/Azure), and REST APIs.
• Maintain and support data analytics platforms.
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.
• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
• Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems.
• Develop and update technical documentation
  

Work Experience

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in Power BI development, including report creation, data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
  

• Expertise in SQL, database modeling, and ETL pipelines.
• Experience with database management and data manipulation.
• In-depth understanding of ETL frameworks.
• Experience integrating with cloud-based platforms (preferably Azure).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues related to data visualization and automation.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Background in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modeling) and data mining.
• Strong experience in cloud/on-prem data warehouses like AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Teradata, and Databricks.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively work with both technical and non-technical teams.
  

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of Power Automate for advanced schedule/analytics pipeline automation.
• Familiarity with AI/ML deployment in Power BI.
• Microsoft Power BI Certification.
• Knowledge of Python.
• Knowledge of the healthcare domain and compliance (HIPAA, GDPR).
