Postdoctoral Opportunity in AI/ML for Parkinsons Disease Risk Prediction

A postdoctoral position is available at the National University of Singapore in the research group of Dr. Seyed Ehsan Saffari, Assistant Professor. The focus of the position is on developing and validating advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) assessment tools for Parkinson's disease risk prediction. The successful candidate will be involved in working with large-scale multi-center clinical datasets, integrating machine learning, statistics, and healthcare. The ideal candidate should hold a PhD in Statistics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field. They should have demonstrated experience in implementing various machine learning models, such as supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning approaches. Proficiency in quantitative analysis, computational methods, and programming languages like Python and R is required. A strong publication record and excellent communication skills are essential. The ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting is also important. Experience in supervising PhD students or mentoring junior researchers would be an advantage. The initial appointment for this position is for 1 year, with a possibility of extension based on funding availability.
