Job Title: Post-Silicon Validation Engineer ARM / DSP

Job Summary

Python and Embedded C

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute

  post-silicon validation plans and test cases

  for processor IPs and subsystems.
• Write and maintain

  Embedded C test programs and Python automation scripts

  .
• Validate

  ARM cores and/or DSP functionality

  , investigate failures and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Work with

  processor toolchains, compilation flows and debugging environments

  .
• Support validation involving

  Xtensa DSPs, TIE instructions and VFPU instructions

  , as applicable.
• Understand and test basic

  audio DSP algorithm building blocks

  , including

  Fast Fourier Transform (FFT)

  functions.
• Analyze test results, document defects and track issues through closure.
• Take ownership of assigned

  IP/subsystem validation

  , including planning, execution, debugging and reporting.
• Work independently, proactively identify issues and learn new architectures and tools.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in

  Post-Silicon Validation

  .
• Strong programming skills in

  Python and Embedded C

  .
• Experience in

  ARM core validation and/or DSP validation

  .
• Understanding of

  processor toolchains, code compilation and test execution

  .
• Basic understanding of

  DSP concepts and audio processing building blocks such as FFT

  .
• Strong

  debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills

  .
• Ability to

  take ownership and work independently

  with limited day-to-day guidance.
• A proactive approach and strong willingness to learn.

Preferred Technical Exposure

• Xtensa DSP toolchain and compilation flows

  .

• Tensilica Instruction Extension (TIE) instructions

  .

• Vector Floating-Point Unit (VFPU) instructions

  .
• Validation and testing of

  audio algorithms on DSP platforms

  .
