Location: Chennai (with travel to other cities as required) Job Summary: We are looking for a field-savvy, hands-on Operations Supervisor based in Chennai to manage the installation, maintenance, and relationship management for our digital Smart Locker projects across multiple locations. This role requires excellent coordination skills, fluency in Tamil and English, and the ability to troubleshoot and ensure smooth project execution on-site. Key Responsibilities (KRAs): 1. Locker Installation Project Execution § Supervise digital locker installation at host locations (malls, movie theatres, stores, corporate campuses, temples etc.). § Conduct site surveys to assess feasibility and prepare for installations. § Coordinate with electricians, branding teams, and hardware vendors for timely setup. § Ensure readiness of power, internet connectivity, and site permissions prior to installation. § Perform post-installation functional tests and quality checks. 2. Ongoing Locker Maintenance § Visit installed locker sites periodically for health checks and routine maintenance. § Troubleshoot issues reported by partners or customers; escalate if required. § Maintain service uptime and monitor performance of assigned lockers. § Maintain logs of all service and maintenance activity. 3. Partner & Customer Coordination § Act as the primary on-site point of contact for local partners and host staff. § Provide basic training to host staff on locker usage and issue reporting. § Build and maintain strong working relationships with local stakeholders. 4. Vendor & Field Team Management § Coordinate with external vendors and service personnel for installations and maintenance. § Monitor vendor compliance with timelines and safety protocols. § Ensure materials, tools, and branding elements reach site on time. 5. Reporting & Documentation § Maintain accurate records of site visits, installations, and issue resolutions. § Submit Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports on work progress and operational status. § Ensure checklists, handover documents, and installation photos are completed and submitted. Required Skills & Qualifications: § 1–3 years of on-site or field operations experience (hardware/electrical/IoT installations preferred but not mandatory) § Fluency in Tamil and English is mandatory; knowledge of Telugu and Hindi is a plus § Good interpersonal skills and ability to handle customer-facing situations § Basic knowledge of electrical connections, routers, Wi-Fi setups (preferred but not mandatory) § Proficiency with Google Sheets, WhatsApp, basic mobile apps § Ability to work independently, multitask, and resolve issues in real-time § Strong attention to detail and accountability for quality execution Other Requirements: § Must be based in Chennai § Must own a two-wheeler with a valid license and be comfortable traveling across the city § Willingness to travel outside Chennai for short durations as project demands § Flexible to work extended hours when required during installations or urgent repairs Performance KPIs: § % of locker installations completed on schedule § Locker uptime and responsiveness to service issues § Partner feedback and satisfaction score § Accuracy and timeliness of documentation § Average turnaround time for issue resolution § Number of sites successfully maintained with minimal downtime About POPKEY: We are pioneering the future of secure digital storage with our state-of-the-art, next-generation Intelligent Smart Locker solutions for malls, movie theatres, offices, hospitals, religious places, transport hubs, recreational venues, events and beyond.
