SECTION I: BASIC INFORMATION Role: MEP Engineer Job Family: MEP Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Coordination Job Overview: Construction of a multispeciality hospital and an amenities building as part of an integrated development project. SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY The MEP Engineer is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, and ELV systems at the project site. The role ensures that MEP installations meet design specifications, quality standards, and statutory compliance. The MEP Engineer will coordinate between civil, architectural, and MEP teams to ensure seamless project execution. Experience in hospital construction or healthcare MEP systems is preferred. SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise installation of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, drainage, fire-fighting, ELV, and other MEP services. Ensure MEP works comply with approved drawings, MEP shop drawings, specifications, and standards. Coordinate between MEP contractors, civil teams, OEM vendors, and design consultants. Review MEP drawings, raise technical queries, and resolve site-level issues. Monitor MEP material delivery, verify technical compliance, and inspect installations. Conduct testing & commissioning activities: pressure tests, electrical testing, fire alarm tests, duct testing, etc. Support planning of MEP work fronts and ensure timely execution. Prepare MEP progress reports and support preparation of weekly/monthly reports. Verify measurements and assist in MEP bill certification. Ensure safety compliance for all MEP works at site. (Preferred) Handle hospital-specific MEP systems such as Medical Gas Pipeline System (MGPS), High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA systems), UPS/Electrical redundancy, nurse call systems, and HVAC zoning for ICUs/OTs. SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for implementing and monitoring Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities at the construction site. The role ensures that all construction work, materials, and workmanship comply with approved drawings, project specifications, industry codes, and quality standards. The QA/QC Engineer will supervise inspections, coordinate with consultants, manage QA/QC documentation, and drive quality compliance across the site. SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct and supervise inspections of construction activities such as reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, blockwork, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing. Ensure adherence to approved drawings, method statements, ITPs, and project quality plans. Inspect and verify incoming materials (cement, steel, aggregates, blocks, plumbing and electrical items) against technical specifications and test certificates. Maintain and manage QA/QC documentation including inspection requests (IRs), checklists, pour cards, material registers, calibration records, and NCR logs. Coordinate and carry out field tests such as slump tests, concrete cube sampling, and other material verification tests. Monitor curing processes and the protection of concrete and finishing works, ensuring compliance with standard practices. Identify non-conformities, prepare NCRs, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Coordinate with consultant representatives for inspections, approvals, audits, and quality-related discussions. Liaise with third-party testing labs for material and product testing as required. Train and guide supervisors, technicians, and junior QA/QC team members on quality requirements and inspection procedures.
