Job Description

The Plant Head will be responsible for end-to-end management of the three plant units, ensuring operational excellence across production, maintenance, and plant operations. The role requires strategic leadership and hands-on execution capabilities to drive performance, safety, cost-efficiency, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Oversee operations of Sponge Iron, Pellet, and Power Plants Lead Production, Operations, and Maintenance functions across all units Manage a team of over 400+ direct and indirect employees Drive operational efficiency, uptime, and output quality Implement best practices in safety, environment, and statutory compliance Build a performance-driven, stable, and cohesive team Prepare and manage annual budgets, CAPEX/OPEX plans Ensure effective stakeholder communication with corporate leadership Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and decision-making abilities Proficient in Kannada or Telugu (mandatory) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strategic thinker with hands-on operational expertise Calm, composed, and long-term orientation in leadership Other Requirements Must be open to relocation and full-time residence in Bellary (ref:iimjobs.com) Show more Show less
