Job Summary:

The Pharmacist / Assistant Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications as per prescription, managing inventory, ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws and safety standards, and offering medication-related advice to patients. The role supports daily pharmacy operations to ensure smooth patient care and accurate pharmaceutical services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications accurately.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, drug interactions, and patient safety.
• Provide proper guidance on medication usage, dosage, and possible side effects to patients.
• Maintain stock levels of medicines and medical supplies; ensure proper storage and expiry tracking.
• Assist with purchase orders and communicate with vendors.
• Maintain daily records of stock and dispensing.
• Handle billing, data entry, and use of pharmacy/clinic software.
• Ensure proper labeling and packaging of medicines.
• Monitor temperature-controlled medications and refrigeration units.
• Follow all regulatory and safety guidelines (e.g., DCI norms).
• Assist in audits and regulatory inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pharmacy area.
• Provide support during medical emergencies by ensuring the availability of essential drugs.
• Assist the senior pharmacist or doctor when needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Pharmacist: Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy (B.Pharm); valid license from the Pharmacy Council.
• Assistant Pharmacist: D PHARM OR Others strong knowledge medicine dispensing
• Basic knowledge of pharmacy management software.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and handle patient interactions professionally.
• Prior experience in a clinic/hospital pharmacy is preferred.
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts if required.

Additional Requirements:

• Basic computer knowledge is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
