Pharma Package Component Development Engineer

As a Pharma Package Component Development Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and executing packaging development initiatives across primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging systems. With 4 to 6 years of relevant experience, you will utilize your expertise in component design, specification creation, SAP BOM management, and cGMP documentation to work effectively in a regulated environment. You will be required to plan and execute packaging engineering assignments related to lifecycle management and new product development. Your key responsibilities will include developing material and structural designs for packaging systems, creating and approving component drawings and specifications, collaborating with R&D on product changes, authoring packaging documentation, leading physical testing and validation, troubleshooting packaging issues, and ensuring compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards. To excel in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of Package Component Development and Specification Creation, proficiency in cGMP documentation practices, experience with SAP especially in BOM creation, and familiarity with copy, graphics, pallet pattern design, and finished goods specs. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, project and program management abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office, effective communication, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential for success in this position. Preferred qualifications for this role include a degree in Packaging Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, prior experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, and familiarity with regulatory packaging requirements in FDA, EMA, or ICH regulated environments.
