A PGT (Postgraduate Teacher) in Chemistry for a CBSE school has key roles and responsibilities. The teacher mainly focuses on teaching senior secondary students (Classes 11 & 12) and preparing them for board and competitive exams.

1. Roles & Duties of a PGT Chemistry Teacher1. Teaching Responsibilities

• Teach Chemistry (Physical, Organic, and Inorganic) to Classes 11 & 12 as per CBSE syllabus.
• Develop and execute lesson plans to make concepts clear and engaging.
• Use interactive teaching methods, including smart classes, presentations, and practical demonstrations.
• Prepare students for CBSE board exams, NEET, JEE, and other competitive exams.
• Address students’ doubts and ensure conceptual clarity.

2. Laboratory & Practical Work

• Conduct practical experiments in accordance with the CBSE lab manual.
• Maintain a safe and well-equipped laboratory.
• Demonstrate chemical reactions and experiments to enhance practical knowledge.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of chemicals.

3. Assessment & Evaluation

• Design and conduct tests, quizzes, and assignments regularly.
• Evaluate answer sheets and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain student performance records and track their progress.

4. Curriculum & Academic Planning

• Stay updated with CBSE guidelines and implement the latest changes in the syllabus.
• Prepare yearly, monthly, and daily teaching plans.
• Integrate practical applications of Chemistry into the syllabus.

5. Mentoring & Guidance

• Provide academic guidance and career counseling to students.
• Encourage students to participate in science fairs, olympiads, and competitions.
• Guide students in preparing for practical exams and research projects.

6. Administrative & School Responsibilities

• Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher meetings, and workshops.
• Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment in the classroom.
• Collaborate with other subject teachers for interdisciplinary learning.
• Participate in school functions, events, and extracurricular activities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Experience:

• CBSE: 5 years (Preferred)
