Job Title: QMS Engineer/Manager Location: Ranchi, Jharkhand Department: Quality Assurance Reports to: HOD-QA Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented QMS Engineer/Manager to lead and maintain our Quality Management System in compliance with IATF 16949 , ISO 9001 , and customer-specific requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the automotive industry , with a proven track record in implementing, auditing, and improving quality systems to drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) to meet IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other standards. Lead internal and external audits; coordinate customer and third-party audits. Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements (CSR). Manage document control , process updates, and change management related to the QMS. Facilitate Management Review Meetings , prepare quality metrics, and drive action plans. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented effectively. Promote a quality culture and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization. Train and mentor team members in QMS principles and tools (e.g., FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC). Liaise with customers regarding quality concerns and system-related issues. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 4+ years of experience in a QMS or quality-related role within the automotive industry . In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001 , and core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, etc.). Certified internal auditor for IATF 16949 preferred. Strong understanding of customer-specific requirements. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficient in MS Office and quality management software. Preferred Skills: Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma . Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.). Familiarity with supplier quality management and development.
