• Examine and Diagnose:Pediatricians conduct thorough physical examinations to assess a child's health and identify any potential issues.
• Treat Illnesses and Injuries:They diagnose and treat a wide range of childhood illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions.
• Administer Vaccinations:Pediatricians provide vaccinations and immunizations to protect children from preventable diseases.
• Monitor Growth and Development:They track a child's physical and developmental milestones through regular checkups.
• Prescribe Medications:Pediatricians prescribe medications and provide instructions for their use.
• Order and Interpret Tests:They may order diagnostic tests like blood work or X-rays and interpret the results to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
• Refer to Specialists:When necessary, pediatricians refer patients to specialists for more in-depth care.
• Provide Preventative Care:They advise parents on nutrition, hygiene, safety, and disease prevention
