As a candidate for the mentioned position, your primary responsibilities will involve reviewing patient prescriptions and commencing counseling based on the provided advice. You will be required to deliver presentations and elucidate the procedural steps involved in surgeries or medical procedures to the patients. It is crucial to ascertain the patient's consent to proceed with the recommended surgery or procedure. Upon confirmation from the patient, you will need to determine the patient's category, whether they are Cash, TPA, or Panel. Subsequently, you are expected to elucidate the Features, Advantages, and Benefits (FAB) of the products to be utilized during the surgery or procedure, and obtain the patient's consent accordingly. Estimates must be provided to cash patients and those opting for upgrades. For credit patients, specific procedures need to be followed, such as document submission, obtaining permissions, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders. Additionally, maintaining accurate records in the IPD file and the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) is essential. Generating preoperative instructions, guiding patients for pre-anaesthetic checkups, and ensuring that prescriptions and estimates are countersigned by patients signify a part of your responsibilities. You will also be involved in preparing OT lists, coordinating with the surgical team, and confirming surgery schedules with patients. Moreover, addressing patient queries, liaising with different departments, and ensuring the completion of necessary administrative tasks are integral parts of your role. Daily requisitions to stores, scheduling OT procedures, and managing queries from patients are crucial tasks to be undertaken efficiently.
