As a Trade Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading international compliance operations and driving strategic improvements for our client portfolio. Your responsibilities will include managing global trade regulations, ensuring import/export compliance, mitigating risks, and identifying cost-saving opportunities through various programs and process automation. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of compliance professionals, collaborating with logistics and legal partners, and serving as the principal advisor on regulatory affairs impacting global trade. Your role will involve leading the global trade compliance program for Four PL and its clients across key jurisdictions. You will mentor and manage the Trade Compliance team by setting KPIs, providing training, and overseeing delivery. Your duties will also involve ensuring compliance with international regulations such as HTS, ECCN, COO, FTA, EAR, and ITAR. You will develop, review, and enforce compliance documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and internal policies. Additionally, you will oversee import/export licenses, permits, and regulatory submissions while maintaining strong relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners. Monitoring regulatory changes, conducting internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews will also be part of your responsibilities. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders from Legal, Operations, Procurement, and Finance to embed compliance into workflows. Identifying and driving process automation and digital transformation initiatives for trade compliance will be key to your role. To be successful in this role, you must have 7-10 years of experience in trade compliance, including leadership roles. Strong expertise in global trade regulations, experience in developing and scaling trade compliance programs, and familiarity with ERP and trade software are essential. Strong analytical, documentation, and project management skills, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities, are required. A background in logistics, supply chain, or parts distribution, along with experience in multi-country compliance operations or working with international clients, would be preferred.
