Role : Research Scientist/ Senior Research Scientist - Biomaterials Job Requirements: Conduct research on biomaterials targeted for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications and generate protocols for the same Perform extensive physical, biological chemical characterization for biopolymeric products. Innovate, conceptualize, plan, execute, analyse data and troubleshoot experiments Active participation in interdisciplinary research with colleagues and collaborators. Project or team management experience will be considered as a plus. Strong evidence of writing scientific documents like manuscript, patent, grant proposals, etc in the relevant research field and presentations in public platforms. Proactive external communications with vendors, suppliers for resources and instruments procurement, CROs for specialized services for pre-clinical studies. Expertise in more than one polymeric scaffold fabrication techniques, including (but not limiting) in-situ crosslinking and 3D bioprinting, preferably for generating complex structures. Role : Associate Research Scientist - Biomaterials Job requirements: Primary- Develop and characterize polymeric scaffolds. Experience with scaffold fabrication techniques using biomaterials to generate complex tissue mimetic hydrogels and composite scaffolds, for applications in tissue engineering. Skilled in various scaffold and material characterization techniques. Culture and maintain various cell types, including stem cells and primary cells, and perform cell-based assays to evaluate biocompatibility, proliferation, and differentiation. Developing 3D in vitro tissue models to assess the function of scaffolds. Experience with 3D-printing will be a plus. Analyze experimental data using appropriate statistical methods, prepare detailed reports, and contribute to publications in peer-reviewed journals. Prepare presentations for internal and external meetings. Proficiency in software for data analysis, Image processing, CAD designing. Participate in interdisciplinary research with colleagues and collaborators Meet with vendors for raw materials and instruments procurement, and with CROs for specialized services Qualification and Experience: M.Sc /M.Tech (Experience with Biomaterials) in Biotechnology, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or biological sciences with Research experience (minimum 3 years) in material/ polymer science in a renowned research lab or industry; or PhD (completed or near completion) in the relevant field.
As a Leader in the field of research and development at Pandorum, you will be responsible for leading and building a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team focused on the company's technology platform. Your primary objective will be to support the product core through various areas such as Cellular & Tissue Engineering, Exosomes, and Organoid based proprietary technology. You will guide a team of Scientists in establishing protocols and generating reproducible SOPs that are compliant with cGMP processes for technology/knowledge transfer aimed at clinical grade production. In this role, you will be expected to define, plan, and execute the platform and product vision, strategy, and roadmap. It will be your responsibility to develop and manage program timelines, drive the achievement of key milestones, and continuously measure the success of the products by defining metrics and setting targets. Additionally, you will supervise current and initiate new interactions with clients, collaborators, and various entities including clinical, regulatory, and CROs. As a valuable contributor to Pandorum's intellectual property portfolio, you will play an integral role in the development and maintenance of company assets. You will also be involved in writing technical and business reports, grant applications, publications, and representing the company at meetings and conferences. Furthermore, you will contribute to generating data for company publications such as newsletters, websites, social media, and printed journals. This role requires a highly qualified individual with a Ph.D. and 5 to 12 years of relevant industry experience. You should have a strong background in working with Exosomes, Stem Cells, and Tissue Engineering. Job Profile: 1. Lead, manage, coordinate and orchestrate operations including business and R&D operations (in multiple locations), laboratory operations and provide smooth horizontal integration of different operational verticals. 2. Manage dynamic needs of R&D and product development teams, laboratory logistics and laboratory procurement. 3. Manage and meet the timelines for project deliverables across the organization and along with external stakeholders. 4. Lead and co-ordinate requirements for regulatory compliance and various audits. 5. Lead stakeholder management, especially with external partners, government, hospitals, industry and other organizations. 6. Coordinate with CROs and specialized service providers. 7. Manage and oversight good laboratory practices (GLP) and ensure R&D labs (laboratory, cell culture rooms) adhere to excellent laboratory standards. 8. Manage workflows in laboratory including coordinating workflows of R&D among different sites and vendors. 9. Manage supply chain for various consumables, including clinical-grade materials. 10. Manage operational, laboratory budgets and laboratory meetings, documentation of information, laboratory and business reports, writing technical reports. 11. Identify new business opportunities and partners and cultivate strong relationships with new clients and nurture existing client relationship. 12. Assist with drafting business plans, business pitches, presentations, reference materials, and other documents as required. 13. Identify and represent Pandorum in business and scientific networking platforms. 14. Manage and assist in administration related activities of the company. 15. Train and manage employees assigned to work under supervision. 16. Undertake work related business travel from time to time as required. 17. Additional duties as necessary and assigned by the Cofounders from time to time. Work Location: Electronic City, Bangalore Required Skills / Experience: PhD in Life Science or related discipline with 8 to 12 years of experience in R&D management, product development, lab operations, procurement, inventory and vendor management. Scientific writing (grants/articles) and Import/export experience are desirable. The role holder would report directly to the cofounders of Pandorum and a team of four employees from the Operations team would report to this role holder.
