About the Project:

The Aravanaippu Project is an initiative by the Coimbatore Cancer Foundation (CCF) aimed at providing holistic, compassionate, and accessible palliative care to patients with life-limiting
illnesses. The project emphasizes community outreach, home-based care, psychological support, and integration of palliative care into mainstream oncology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive palliative care consultations to patients during home visits.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in coordination with the
• interdisciplinary team.
• Guide and support pain and symptom management, including prescribing and monitoring
• medications.
• Collaborate with oncologists, primary care physicians, nurses, counsellors, and
• volunteers to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in family meetings and end-of-life discussions with empathy and sensitivity.
• Provide training and mentorship to healthcare staff, volunteers, and caregivers.
• Support and contribute to awareness programs, community outreach, and capacity-
• building initiatives.
• Maintain accurate medical records, reports, and documentation as per project guidelines.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement and research activities related to palliative care.

Required Qualifications:
MBBS with MD/DNB in Palliative Medicine with certification/training in Palliative Care. Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience in palliative or hospice care. Remuneration:
