We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee and manage the responsibilities below.

The Painting Inspection Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, and compliance of painting and coating works on heavy static equipment during fabrication at the yard. This role involves conducting inspections, verifying coating application processes, and ensuring adherence to project specifications, standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform visual and detailed inspections of surface preparations, coating applications, and curing processes on heavy static equipment.
• Verify surface cleanliness, profile, and moisture content prior to coating application, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Monitor and inspect painting activities to ensure proper techniques, thickness, and adhesion are maintained.
• Conduct and document coating thickness measurements using appropriate gauges (e.g., DFT gauges).
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and application of paints, primers, and coatings in accordance with manufacturer instructions and project requirements.
• Review and verify coating inspection reports, certificates, and related documentation.
• Identify and report non-conformances, deficiencies, or deviations from standards and coordinate corrective actions.
• Liaise with fabrication, coating contractors, and project management to ensure smooth inspection processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies during all inspection activities.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection activities, test results, and quality documentation.
• Participate in coating system audits and quality meetings as required.

About You:

We love to hear from you and how you match with this position. To be successful in this mission you should consider the following requirements:

Qualifications: Diploma/ Bachelors degree with Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience with CSWIP 3.1 certification.

Languages: English (Fluent)

Main skills:

• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in painting inspection within oil & gas fabrication yards.
• Knowledge of relevant standards such as NACE, SSPC, ISO, API, and project specifications.
• Familiarity with coating application methods, surface preparation techniques, and inspection tools.
• Certification such as NACE Level 1/2 Coating Inspector or SSPC certifications is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
