Painter (Spray Painting)

A metal products painter prepares metal surfaces for coating, applies paints, varnishes, and other finishes using various tools, and ensures the final product meets quality and safety standards. Key duties include surface preparation, such as cleaning and sanding; mixing and applying coatings with brushes, rollers, or sprayers; and maintaining equipment and a safe work area. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of safety procedures for hazardous materials, and the ability to maintain equipment and a clean work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Clean, wash, and sand metal surfaces to remove dirt, rust, or old paint. Masking and chemical rinsing may also be required.
• Mix and match paints, stains, and other industrial coatings according to specifications, ensuring correct consistency and color.
• Apply finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. This may involve adjusting manually
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain and troubleshoot painting equipment. This includes cleaning spray guns, pumps, and other machinery.
• Document paint usage and maintain an inventory of supplies like brushes, rollers, and tarps.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in painting techniques and equipment like spray guns
• Requires physical stamina to operate machinery and potentially work in various environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and adapt to project challenges.

Location: Kinfra, Thiruvananthapuram

Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in Spray painting work experience.

Basic Qualification: ITI /Diploma
