Packaging designer

About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and creative Packaging Designer to join our dynamic design team. As a Packaging Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing, functional, and innovative packaging solutions for our products. You will work closely with the product development, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure that packaging aligns with brand identity and meets the practical needs of the products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize & Design: Develop creative packaging designs from concept to final artwork, considering both aesthetics and functionality.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure that the packaging aligns with the company’s brand identity, target audience, and product positioning.
• 3D Prototyping: Create mockups and 3D renderings to visualize the packaging design before production.
• Technical Specifications: Prepare and deliver print-ready artwork, dielines, and technical specs for production.
• Material & Sustainability: Work with the sourcing team to choose the appropriate materials, considering sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and suppliers, to ensure packaging is feasible, cost-efficient, and high-quality.
• Market Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in packaging design, technology, and material innovations.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that the packaging meets all required safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
• Feedback & Iteration: Revise packaging designs based on feedback from stakeholders and product testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience (2+ years) in packaging design, preferably within consumer goods or retail sectors.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and CAD software for 3D modeling.
• Strong understanding of print production processes, material types, and finishing techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics and functionality.
• Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt designs to specific product requirements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in packaging design is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with packaging design for e-commerce and retail.
• Familiarity with packaging regulations and standards in India and globally.
• Knowledge of digital printing and modern packaging technologies.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
