You will implement the day-to-day execution of pastries, breads, Petit Gateaux/Tarts, Viennoiserie and Bakes, tea cakes, and cookies. The role is hands-on, with a focus on consistency, quality, and maintaining high culinary standards. You will be trained by a visiting pastry chef consultant, who has developed our menu. Basic baking technical skills and experience are necessary. Your primary responsibility is to carry out this established menu and ensure that each dish reflects Overflow’s standards. While there is room for creative input over time, the key focus is on accurate execution. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: To maintain high working standards and ethics as expected by the Restaurant/Executive Chef. To prepare, cook, and serve food, while maintaining the highest possible quality and meeting agreed standards for food preparation and presentation at all times under guidance from a senior chef. To be punctual for work and promptly report any personal emergencies that limit/disable the chef from performing duties. To aid in achieving desired food costs, kitchen standards and overall objectives To keep high standards of personal and kitchen hygiene Show a commitment to learn and grow as a professional chef during the period of employment To carry out and assist in the smooth running of the kitchen To attend all meetings and training sessions as required To comply with any reasonable request from your superiors QUALIFICATIONS Professional Culinary experience of minimum 1 year. We are hiring a Pastry CDP to work under our Head Baker and supervise 2 commis. The role focuses on consistent production, quality control, and smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities Produce pastries including cheesecake, hazelnut pastries, cookies, danishes, small cakes, and other assigned items Ensure daily production is completed on schedule Train and guide junior commis in preparation, baking, and organization Follow all recipes accurately and maintain product standards Maintain cleanliness, labeling, and proper storage Monitor baking equipment and report any issues Support the Head Baker with prep lists, planning, and inventory as needed Requirements Previous pastry experience in a professional kitchen or bakery Strong understanding of basic pastry techniques and baking processes Ability to supervise and coordinate a small team Good communication and time-management skills Reliability and consistency in daily work Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month Application Question(s): Have you received any formal education in bakery/pastry?
