OT Nurse

ARAM Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Nurse with experience in Ophthalmology to support surgeons during procedures and maintain a sterile, well-organized operating environment. Candidates with prior experience in ophthalmic surgeries and OT equipment handling are preferred.

The ideal candidate is efficient, detail-oriented, compassionate, and capable of responding quickly in emergency situations. Strong knowledge of surgical protocols and patient safety practices is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients prior to surgery and address any concerns.
• Prepare and gather all supplies required for ophthalmic procedures.
• Maintain strict sterility and cleanliness in the operating room.
• Position and prepare patients on the operating table.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supporting intraoperative tasks.
• Monitor patient vital signs and identify any abnormalities.
• Provide postoperative assessment and support.
• Follow all safety standards, infection-control protocols, and hospital policies.
• Perform assigned duties within or outside the sterile field as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an OT Nurse (circulating and scrub).
• Hands-on experience in Ophthalmology OT preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
• Strong understanding of patient safety and surgical precautions.
• In-depth knowledge of ophthalmic surgical procedures and equipment.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Diploma in Nursing with a valid nursing licence.
