Experience: Minimum 6 years in Operating Theater management (preferably in IVF or related healthcare setups)

Job Summary:

The OT In-charge at Dr. Aravind’s IVF Clinic will manage the operation of the specialized Operating Theater used for IVF and related procedures. The role demands meticulous attention to sterilization, patient safety, and smooth coordination between medical teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the IVF OT, ensuring adherence to strict aseptic techniques.
• Manage and supervise OT nursing and technical staff.
• Coordinate with fertility specialists, embryologists, and anesthetists for scheduling and conducting IVF procedures and minor surgeries.
• Maintain the highest standards of sterilization for delicate instruments and equipment used in IVF.
• Monitor and manage inventory of OT supplies specific to fertility treatments.
• Conduct training sessions for OT staff on IVF-specific protocols and safety standards.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all OT activities and patient safety protocols.
• Collaborate with clinic management to ensure equipment maintenance, procurement, and compliance with health regulations.
• Implement and regularly update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) specific to IVF OT.
• Respond to emergency situations in the OT promptly and efficiently.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma/Degree in Nursing, Medical Technology, or allied health science.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience working in Operating Theater settings; experience in IVF or assisted reproductive technology (ART) is a strong advantage.
• Deep understanding of sterilization protocols and infection control in a sensitive environment.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain focus on patient safety.
• Certifications like BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
• Familiarity with IVF-specific equipment and protocols is a plus.
