Dimensions of this Role: In a factory setting, a shift executive's job dimensions encompass leadership, management, and operational oversight, ensuring efficient production, adherence to safety protocols, and effective team performance during their assigned shift. Key Responsibilities: Shift Operations Management: Oversee all production activities during the shift to ensure targets are met. Monitor equipment, processes, and workforce to ensure opmal efficiency. Ensure proper handover between shift with accurate documentation. Attending to breakdowns and resolving online problems through root cause analysis, as well as implementing corrective and preventive actions. Team Supervision: Assign tasks to team members and ensure proper utilization of manpower. Train, guide, and supervise the workforce to maintain high productivity and compliance. Handle shift rosters, attendance, and leave management. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet quality standards by implementing SOPs and conducting regular checks. Report and address any deviations in quality or processes. Safety and Compliance: Promote and enforce a culture of safety within the team. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during the shift. Report incidents or near misses and take corrective actions promptly. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve operational issues during the shift. Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime caused by equipment failure. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain shift logs, production reports, and incident records. Communicate effectively with the next shift and management regarding shift activities and challenges. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in team meetings to discuss operational challenges and share best practices. Qualifications, Experience & Competency: Education : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical. Experience : 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, (preferably in a supervisory role) Skill: Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Knowledge of production processes and quality control procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Good organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures. Experience in manufacturing or a related industry is often preferred.
