About: We are looking for an intermediate-level Oracle APEX Developer who is enthusiastic about creating and shaping solutions that get customers excited. You will join a dynamic, fast-paced environment and work with our cross-functional global team to create new products or enhance existing SaaS-based products in the Education sector. You will come from a similar growing and challenging SaaS Technology company and will bring at least 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in full-stack APEX development with you. You will work closely with the others in the Software Development teams, as well with Product Management, Project Delivery and with Customers to ensure creation, delivery and maintenance of high-quality applications which will be both public-facing and for internal user groups. Role & responsibilities You will have the ability to develop high-quality, efficient back-end code using strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills. You will have the skills and know-how to develop robust front-end code using the APEX App Builder environment and will utilise your strong JavaScript, CSS, HTML and Handlbars templating engine skills. You have a strong focus on quality and aesthetics and can deliver beautiful and functional applications that conform to strict accessibility guidelines. You ideally would have experience with the jsreport Reporting Server. You have used Version control systems such as git and Bitbucket extensively. You are comfortable at both the Linux and Windows (PowerShell) command line. You have the ability to resolve design issues and make suggestions for continuous improvement. You are willing and able to troubleshoot issues in a support and maintenance role. Preferred candidate profile You will come from a similar fast-paced and growing SaaS Technology company with at least 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in developing and delivering secure, high-quality Oracle APEX applications, and will ideally have experience in other frameworks and web technologies.. You have the proven hands-on experience to perform the critical role of being able to code to specification and to deliver to expectation and on-time. You will be able to work with minimal supervision and deliver high-quality work. Ideally, you will have an understanding of the EdTech IT landscape, or you will demonstrate an ability to rapidly obtain expertise through your previous work experience. You have experience with rapid and iterative software development methodologies (Agile). You have a familiarity with using tools such as Jira and Confluence. You enjoy working flexible hours to accommodate communication across different time zones. You are customer-focused, and you understand how to balance short term relationship imperatives with the ultimate goal of delivering the expected outcomes to our clients.
