Job Description

As an Optical Technician, you will play a crucial role in the optical department by interpreting and verifying optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist. Your responsibilities will include: - Selecting appropriate lenses and frames based on the prescription, patient preferences, and facial measurements. - Performing lens edging, mounting, and fitting using manual and automated equipment. - Adjusting and aligning spectacles to ensure comfort, proper fit, and optical performance. - Repairing, polishing, and maintaining damaged spectacles and frames. - Ensuring high-quality finishing and accuracy of spectacles before delivering them to the patients. - Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the optical workshop and tools. - Keeping inventory of lenses, frames, and optical accessories up to date. - Coordinating with the optometrist or optical sales team to meet lens specifications and patient requirements. - Educating patients on spectacle care, lens cleaning, and maintenance. - Ensuring timely completion of orders and delivery to patients. - Following hospital safety and infection control standards. Additionally, the job is full-time and requires in-person work.,
