Operations- Insurance Data Operations - Manager

Role Overview: KKR is seeking a Manager - Data Analysis to join the Gurugram-based Insurance Data Operations team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in shaping insurance data models, defining requirements, and collaborating with technology partners to build scalable and business-ready data products. Your role will involve translating business needs into structured requirements, ensuring data integrity, and delivering actionable insights for stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Own the requirements and design of insurance data models to ensure data structures align with business logic and support accurate reporting and analytics. - Collaborate with business stakeholders across finance, actuarial, investments, and risk to define detailed data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Work closely with technology teams to design, build, and enhance insurance data platforms, creating consumable data products that are reliable, scalable, and user-friendly. - Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting products in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Sigma, and Streamlit to enable stakeholders to intuitively consume data and make informed decisions. - Lead testing and validation efforts to maintain data model integrity and accuracy before implementation. - Implement data governance standards to ensure all insurance data is well-defined, cataloged, and documented for consistent usage. - Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes in the data model. - Provide business-driven analytics and ad hoc insights while leveraging centralized data products. - Collaborate with the Global Data Operations team to align insurance data practices with broader enterprise frameworks. - Mentor junior team members on data modeling, visualization, and product delivery best practices. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. - 6-10 years of progressive experience in data modeling, data analysis, or data product management; insurance or financial services experience strongly preferred. - Advanced SQL skills required, including designing and optimizing complex queries, building data models, and working with large datasets. - Working knowledge of Python (or similar programming language) required for data analysis, automation, and model validation. - Hands-on experience building dashboards and visualizations in modern BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Sigma, Streamlit, or similar) independently designing and delivering executive-ready reporting products. - Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical data model specifications. - Experience collaborating with engineering/technology teams to deliver data products or platforms. - Familiarity with cloud data environments (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.) preferred. - Strong communication skills to bridge business needs and technical execution. - Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. - Collaborative, action-oriented, and comfortable operating in cross-functional settings.
