Job Description: Chef Restaurant: One Pourcent Location: Lucknow, UP Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview One Pourcent is seeking a highly skilled and creative Chef specialising in Continental Cuisine to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with classic European and modern Western cooking techniques, a passion for fresh ingredients, and an exceptional flair for sophisticated plate presentation. This role is essential for maintaining the high standards and culinary innovation that One Pourcent is known for. Key Responsibilities 1. Culinary Execution & Quality Control Expertly prepare and execute a diverse range of Continental dishes, ensuring strict adherence to standardised recipes, portion sizing, and high-end presentation standards. Maintain authenticity and precision in all classic European cooking methods (e.g., sauces, braising, roasting, grilling). Conduct rigorous daily quality checks of all ingredients, prepared components, and finished plates to guarantee the One Pourcent standard. Efficiently manage a specific station within the kitchen (e.g., Garde Manger, Sauté) during peak service hours. 2. Menu Development & Innovation Collaborate closely with the Head Chef on menu research and development , introducing innovative dishes and seasonal specials that elevate the Continental offerings. Focus on incorporating fresh, local, and sustainable ingredients where possible to enhance flavour and quality. Maintain awareness of current culinary trends within the Continental and global fine dining space. 3. Kitchen Operations & Leadership Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation protocols (HACCP). Oversee inventory, including accurate ordering, receiving, and rotating stock to minimise waste and control costs. Mentor and train junior kitchen staff on proper techniques, safety standards, and efficiency in preparing complex Continental dishes. Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Chef or Chef de Partie in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or recognised fine dining establishment. Proven expertise across Continental cooking styles , including French, Mediterranean, and contemporary Western cuisine. Formal culinary education or certification is highly desirable. Proficient knowledge of food costing, inventory management, and kitchen scheduling. Skills & Attributes Exceptional attention to detail in every aspect of cooking and plating. Strong leadership and communication skills ; able to motivate a team under pressure. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, high-volume environment. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
