On Board Diagnostic validation engineer

As part of Tata Elxsi's Automotive team, you will be involved in various aspects of R&D, design, and product engineering services for the automotive and transportation industries. Your main responsibilities will include: - Validating all component-specific diagnostic and OBD2, OBDonUDS/ZEVonUDS requirements - Creating test specifications and test plans according to product, customer, quality, and legal requirements - Conducting component defect analysis - Validating diagnostic and DTC implementations in SiL Platform - Working as a fully contributing team member with independent planning and execution responsibilities - Troubleshooting issues quickly and supporting the team to identify the root cause - Bringing in ideas for process and efficiency improvements To be successful in this role, you should have 4 to 8 years of experience and expertise in the following areas: - Validation of Diagnostics, OBD2 requirement in vehicle or HIL or SiL - Specification and certification of OBD2 requirement for any ECU - Calibration of OBD2 or Diagnostics parameters for vehicles Additionally, knowledge of the following is required: - Protocols: CAN/UDS/Flexray - Topics: Diagnostics, OBD, CARB regulations - Automotive components: Transmission, electric Drive System, battery Chargers, HV Components, etc. Nice to have qualifications include prior experience in handling OBD2 certification with CARB and pre-PVE vehicle validation, as well as experience in HV validation on HIL systems. Familiarity with tools such as DOORS for requirements management, Measurement Calibration Diagnostic (MCD) tools like CANAPE/CANOE/Canalyzer/Candela Studio/INCA/CANOE DIVA, and Testing Tools like Vector CANoe, DiagRA, Silver, Provetech, Python, and TW would be beneficial for this role.,
