Job Summery :The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring smooth inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipment processes for an e-commerce business. This role involves managing a team, optimizing workflows, and ensuring fast, accurate, and efficient processing of online orders while maintaining compliance with company policies and e-commerce logistics best practices. Role & responsibilities1. E-Commerce Warehouse Operations ManagementSupervise the receiving, storage, and dispatch of products sold on various e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, etc.).Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and shipping of online orders while meeting SLA (Service Level Agreement) deadlines.Monitor and optimize order fulfillment processes to minimize errors and improve delivery times.Coordinate with courier partners and third-party logistics (3PL) providers for smooth dispatch and tracking of shipments.Implement best practices for SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) management, bin allocation, and inventory accuracy.2. Inventory & Stock ManagementConduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to maintain high inventory accuracy.Ensure proper product labeling, barcode scanning, and batch tracking for seamless order processing.Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement teams to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.Handle returns, exchanges, and damaged product management efficiently as per e-commerce return policies.3. Team Leadership & TrainingLead a team of warehouse associates, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring efficiency.Train staff on e-commerce warehouse workflows, order processing software, and best practices for fast and accurate fulfillment.Motivate and coach team members to achieve productivity targets and maintain high-quality standards.4. Technology & Process ImprovementUtilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and e-commerce integration tools to streamline inventory tracking and order processing.Identify bottlenecks and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce fulfillment costs.Ensure proper use of handheld scanners, labeling machines, and other warehouse equipment. Required Candidate Profile : High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.3-5 years of warehouse experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role within an e-commerce environment.Experience working with e-commerce fulfillment processes, warehouse management systems (WMS), and inventory tracking tools.Knowledge of courier integrations and logistics providers (e.g., Blue Dart, Delhivery, FedEx, etc.). Strong leadership and team management skills.Familiarity with e-commerce order fulfillment, shipping processes, and return management.Good understanding of SKU management, inventory tracking, and warehouse workflow optimization.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.Proficiency in MS Excel, WMS software, and e-commerce platforms.
