Educational Consultant/Counsellor · Location: Vadodara office · Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled counsellor who can turn enquiries into enrolled students through effective counselling and follow-ups. The Educational Counsellor – UK Education will handle inbound online enquiries, counsel students via calls, emails, WhatsApp, and virtual meetings, and convert qualified leads into UK university applications. This is an inside-sales counselling role focused on lead conversion, relationship building, and student success. Roles and Responsibilities Online Lead Handling & Enquiry Management Handle inbound student enquiries generated through paid digital media platforms. Connect with students via phone calls, emails, WhatsApp, and virtual counselling sessions. Ensure timely follow-up on all assigned leads to targeted conversions Maintain accurate lead status and communication records in CRM. Student Counselling Conduct detailed counselling sessions to understand students’ academic background, career goals, financial capacity, and eligibility. Advise students on UK universities, courses, intakes, tuition fees, scholarships, and post-study work life. Guide students through the application journey and coordinate with processing teams for admissions and visas. Counsel parents when required and address concerns related to fees, living costs, and ROI. Conversion & Performance Management Drive high lead-to-application and application-to-enrolment conversion ratios. Achieve assigned monthly targets for applications, enrolments, and revenue. Proactively re-engage cold or dormant leads to improve overall performance. Coordination & Reporting Coordinate closely with admissions, processing, and visa teams to ensure smooth handling of student cases. Roles and Responsibilities Student Acquisition – UK Market Actively source students interested in studying in the UK through field visits, referrals, cold meetings, and institutional tie-ups. Conduct on-ground lead generation at colleges, coaching institutes, training centres, and education hubs. Pitch UK universities, programmes, intakes, fees, and post-study work opportunities confidently. Represent the company at seminars, fairs, and promotional events with a clear sales mindset. Agent Acquisition Identify, recruit, and onboard small education agents across Vadodara and Anand. Drive agent productivity by ensuring regular and quality student referrals. Conduct frequent face-to-face meetings to push volume and performance. Negotiate commission structures and close agent partnerships quickly. Maintain pressure on agents to deliver numbers. Performance, Reporting & Coordination Maintain real-time records of leads, agent performance, meetings, and conversions. Submit daily activity reports and weekly performance reviews. Coordinate with counselling and processing teams to push faster closures and higher conversion ratios. Take complete ownership of assigned targets and outcomes. Key Skills and Competencies Strong closing, negotiation, and persuasion skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Gujarati preferred. Basic CRM and MS Office knowledge are essential. Qualifications and Experience Graduate in any discipline (MBA/Marketing preferred). 2–4 years of hardcore sales, business development, or overseas education experience. Proven exposure to UK student recruitment or education sales is a strong advantage. Prior experience in agent acquisition or channel sales preferred.
