Qualification- B.Sc. / GNM / Diploma in nursing administration with Valid registration Certificate Experience- Minimum 3-4 years (At least 3 years of experience in a 100 Bedded Hospital) Salary- Negotiable (As per company norms and relevant/previous experience of the candidate) Core Responsibilities: Will be responsible and overall In-charge of Nursing Services in the Operation Theatres and Intensive Care Units of the hospital or specialized centre, irrespective of the number of beds. Will conduct daily rounds in the OT and ICU areas, ensuring proper interaction with patients (where applicable), attendants, and nursing staff regarding critical care and perioperative nursing services. Will be directly responsible to the Medical Superintendent or Additional Medical Superintendent of the hospital. Will be responsible for implementing hospital policies and protocols in the OT and ICU nursing units. Will assist the Quality Assurance (QA) Committee in the formulation and review of hospital policies, particularly those concerning critical care and perioperative nursing services. Will recommend personnel and material/equipment requirements for OT and ICU nursing departments, ensuring availability of trained staff and sterile supplies. Will assist the HR Department in the recruitment, selection, and deployment of qualified OT and ICU nursing staff. Will accompany surgical and critical care consultants during hospital rounds in the OT recovery and ICU areas, ensuring coordination and follow-up of care. Will ensure safe, sterile, and efficient care is rendered to patients undergoing surgeries and those admitted in critical care, as per standard clinical guidelines. Will conduct regular in-service training and drills for OT and ICU nursing staff on infection control, emergency protocols, ventilator handling, surgical preparation, and post-operative care. Will attend hospital and intra-hospital meetings, conferences, and departmental reviews related to surgical and critical care services. Will investigate all complaints concerning OT and ICU nursing care and personnel, and take appropriate corrective actions in coordination with concerned departments. Will evaluate confidential reports and performance of subordinate OT and ICU nursing staff, and make recommendations regarding promotions, further training, and disciplinary actions. Will maintain professional and cordial relations with patients’ families, medical social workers, and surgical/critical care teams. Will periodically interact with department heads of Surgery, Anesthesia, Critical Care, and Infection Control to address and resolve issues related to patient care and nursing management. Will be responsible for educating OT and ICU nursing staff across all categories by conducting awareness programs on universal precautions, biomedical waste management, aseptic techniques, and patient safety protocols.
