Patient Preparation & Care:

Explaining procedures to patients, positioning them correctly, and addressing any concerns or anxieties.

Radioactive Material Handling:

Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring proper dosage and safe handling of radioactive materials.

Imaging Procedures:

Operating specialized equipment like gamma cameras and PET scanners to acquire images of organs and bodily functions.

Data Interpretation & Reporting:

Analyzing scan data, interpreting results, and compiling reports for physicians.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate patient records and procedure documentation.

Equipment Maintenance:

Ensuring imaging equipment is properly maintained and functioning safely.

Safety Compliance:

Adhering to strict radiation safety protocols and ensuring patient and staff safety.

Collaboration:

Working with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Professional Development:

Staying updated on new technologies and attending continuing education courses.
