Role Overview The SEO Strategist will act as the vertical lead for SEO across all client projects, ensuring strategic alignment, regular performance audits, and seamless team execution. This role is not execution-heavy—it’s about guiding strategy, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks, leading audits and reporting, and acting as the point of contact for clients on SEO. You’ll manage performance across brands, direct internal execution, and be accountable for delivering outcomes. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Account Oversight Own and evolve the SEO strategy across multiple clients, ensuring each brand’s objectives are met with precision. Conduct high-level SEO audits and strategic performance reviews for each client on a recurring basis. Identify growth gaps, prioritize initiatives, and ensure SEO recommendations are aligned with client goals and timelines Collaborate with internal teams (writers, developers, designers) to ensure timely and correct execution of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO tasks. Regularly lead SEO review meetings with clients, presenting insights, wins, roadblocks, and next steps with clarity. Team Coordination & Workflow Management Assign monthly and weekly tasks to the SEO and content execution teams based on audits, reports, and campaign needs. Maintain a master SEO performance tracker across all clients and the team and ensure timely follow-ups and quality control. Review all outgoing reports, optimize report formats, and maintain client-facing quality in performance updates. Conduct training and internal sessions to maintain quality across SEO deliverables and introduce latest trends to the team. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Analyze performance data (Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.) and translate it into meaningful insights. Create branded vs. non-branded keyword breakdowns, opportunity analysis, and segment traffic by business priority. Monitor performance KPIs and ensure action items are created and tracked for any drops or red flags. Ensure all reports go out on time, with tailored commentary and strategic foresight. Required Skills & Experience 2-4 years of experience in SEO with at least 1+ years in a strategy or leadership capacity. Strong understanding of technical SEO, content strategy, and link-building frameworks. Excellent grasp of tools: Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Ubersuggest, etc. Sharp analytical mindset with the ability to distill data into clear, actionable insights. Experience managing or overseeing a team and ensuring deliverable accountability.
