Key Responsibilities 1. Site Execution – Civil & Painting Works Supervise civil activities including excavation, shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, masonry, plastering, flooring, and finishing works. Monitor all painting works: surface preparation, priming, putty work, sanding, painting coats, texture work, and final finishing. Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and BOQs. Coordinate with contractors, workers, and engineers to ensure smooth operations. 2. Quality Control Inspect work at each stage to ensure construction quality standards are met. Verify painting quality – coverage, thickness, finish, color accuracy, and absence of defects (cracks, peeling, patchiness). Check materials used (cement, sand, aggregates, primer, paint, putty) for compliance. Maintain inspection checklists and rectify quality issues promptly. 3. Labor & Contractor Management Allocate tasks to civil workers, masons, carpenters, and painting teams. Monitor productivity and ensure work is completed within timelines. Manage subcontractors and ensure they follow company standards. Maintain daily attendance of workers. 4. Material Management Coordinate with vendors for timely supply of construction materials and paint products. Track material consumption and maintain records. Ensure safe storage of paint, tools, equipment, and construction materials to prevent damage or wastage. 5. Planning & Coordination Assist in preparing daily and weekly work schedules. Communicate progress, issues, and requirements to the Project Manager. Coordinate with clients/consultants for inspections and approvals. 6. Safety Management Ensure all workers follow safety practices for civil and painting tasks. Conduct toolbox talks and ensure use of PPEs (helmets, harnesses, gloves, masks, safety goggles). Monitor scaffolding stability, ladder safety, and working-at-heights precautions. 7. Documentation & Reporting Maintain Daily Progress Report (DPR) with photos and work logs. Report material usage, deliveries, and stock levels. Prepare snag lists and ensure timely completion of punch-list items. Assist in final site handover documentation. Qualifications Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Freshers can also apply. 2–7 years experience in site supervision (construction + finishing/painting preferred). Ability to read and understand civil drawings, finishing schedules, and specifications. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of civil construction processes and finishing/painting techniques. Good coordination, communication, and leadership skills. Problem-solving ability on site. Basic computer skills (Excel, email, site reporting tools). Ability to manage labor efficiently. Understanding of safety, quality, and compliance standards.
