NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Working Hours: 10 am to 7 pm
Joining: November 2026 - December 2026
Compensation: CTC + ESOPs

THE OPPORTUNITY

Help build the next generation of products at The Only Fix. Work directly with the founders and own skincare product development from consumer problem and product concept to formulation, testing, packaging and commercial production.

This role sits at the intersection of consumer understanding, formulation science, product experience and commercial execution.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

Research & Product Development

• Research consumer needs, ingredients, active technologies, product formats and competitors.
• Translate product ideas into clear development briefs and drive formulation development from the first sample through final approval.
• Sampling & Product Evaluation
• Manage sampling across V1, V2, V3 and final formulations.
• Evaluate texture, absorption, fragrance, finish, spreadability and overall product experience, and convert feedback into clear actions for R&D teams.

Testing & Claims

• Coordinate required testing including stability, compatibility, microbial, dermatological and efficacy or claims testing.
• Ensure product claims are appropriately supported before commercial launch.
• Packaging & Commercialisation: Work on formula-pack compatibility, packaging requirements, costing and development timelines. Take approved products through pilot batches, scale-up and commercial production.
• Manufacturer Coordination: Coordinate with manufacturers and R&D teams across formulation, sampling, approvals, testing, timelines, scale-up and production. Keep development moving and proactively resolve delays or technical roadblocks.
• Product Documentation: Maintain organised product documentation including INCI lists, specifications, COAs, testing reports, formulation versions and claim-support documents.
• Post-Launch Product Improvement: Track consumer feedback, complaints and product-performance issues after launch. Identify opportunities for formulation, packaging or product-experience improvements.

WHAT YOU BRING:

2–4 years of hands-on experience

Experience in skincare or personal-care product development within a D2C brand, beauty company or cosmetic manufacturer.

You should ideally have worked on products that moved beyond sampling into commercial production.

Strong technical understanding

Comfortable with:

• Skin biology
• Ingredients and active ingredients
• Surfactants, emulsifiers and humectants
• INCI lists
• pH and formulation fundamentals
• Product technologies
• Stability and compatibility
• Claims and testing

You do not need to formulate products yourself in a lab, but you should understand formulations well enough to question, evaluate and challenge R&D teams.

• Strong product judgement
• You should be able to evaluate a product beyond whether you simply “like” or “dislike” it.
• You should be comfortable assessing texture, absorption, residue, fragrance, finish, dispensing and overall consumer experience.
• Consumer + commercial thinking

Understand the consumer problem first, while balancing:

Product performance × consumer experience × cost × manufacturability × timelines

Ownership & execution

Highly organised, curious and comfortable managing multiple development projects at different stages.

You should be confident coordinating manufacturers, testing partners, packaging vendors and internal teams without requiring constant follow-up.

ROLE CLARITY

This role owns product development from concept to commercialisation.

You’ll work closely with R&D, manufacturing, testing and packaging partners to bring products to market.

The role is not expected to be the formulation chemist but is expected to have enough technical knowledge to independently evaluate products and make strong product-development decisions.
