Job Description

As an Auxiliary Mechanical expert - Design specializing in New Product Development (NPD) for Auxiliary Systems in the oil and gas, petrochemical, and power sectors, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and detailing mechanical packaging designs for various disciplines such as Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, and Pumps. Your role will involve introducing new technologies to enhance company profitability and productivity, as well as ensuring the incorporation of cost-effective solutions in designs. Your key responsibilities will include designing plot plans, turbo-group general arrangements, machinery foundations, mechanical connections, interconnecting piping layouts, air interconnecting piping, anti-icing and anti-surge air interconnecting piping and supports, pipe and cable trenches layout, machinery baseplate frames and piping, inlet plenum drains piping for Gas Turbines, general arrangements for various skids, piping thermal stress calculations, baseplate calculation reports, and specifications for various components. In addition to your technical design responsibilities, you will also be expected to perform Technical Reviews at different stages of the design process, handhold, guide, and mentor the team to enhance their technical competency, and drive initiatives related to Knowledge Management, Continuous Improvement, and Productivity Enhancement. To excel in this role, you must have more than 10 to 20 years of experience in designing Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, Reciprocating Compressors, and Pumps in the specified sectors. You should be proficient in reading Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Customer Specifications, as well as providing support in the preparation of Equipment Specifications/Datasheets and Purchase Specifications. Proficiency in tools such as Siemens NX10 or above, AutoCAD, and Team Center is essential for this role. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and prior experience in an engineering position focusing on Auxiliary System Engineering - Mechanical for Turbomachinery in the oil and gas/power sectors are desired qualifications for this role. Your skills should encompass a deep understanding of oil, gas, and design principles to effectively contribute to the success of the projects.
